It was another productive week in this dizzy busy house! How did your week go? I hope it was good! Here in South Jersey we are quickly approaching the last day of school, hooray!
Week in review:
First, I would like to say congrats to Kristi who won my giveaway! She will be enjoying an entire year of maximum organization with her Cozi Gold and Dinner Decider apps from Cozi.com! Thanks to everyone who participated, and stay tuned as I hope to be doing more giveaways soon!
Thing 1 played at his high school's graduation ceremony (he is in the band but not actually graduating yet!) and also went to the initial training for his summer position as an LIT (Leader in Training) at a local day camp. Thing 2 concentrated on finishing out the school year with some excellent grades. Only a little over a week of school is left! DH was busy with work (he has to work over the weekend, too, blah!). I, of course, did my usual dizzy busy schedule of working all day, getting the kids home, getting dinner ready, served, and cleaned up, and then shuttling around for various activities. It was a good week, but I am ready for things to slow down! Once school is over, that should happen, so all we have to do is hang in there for a bit longer!
Unfortunately, Thing 1 was not able to bake for us this week; he came down with a nasty cold on Saturday and spent most of the weekend in bed. He started feeling better just as the week kicked off, but at that point things were very busy and he just did not get a chance to bake. With final exams coming up this week, I don't expect that he will have time, but we will see! I did get to post my Banana Oatnut French Toast and my Summer Salad recipes, so that should hold you over! 🙂
Lots of little things going on this weekend, too much to write about! Hoping to spend some quality time with the family though. I am also hoping to get some time to play more with my new camera and watch some Lightroom tutorials. Fun!
This coming week is the last week of school for Thing 1, and almost the last week for Thing 2 (he has 2 more days of school next week). They are already eagerly looking forward to summer camp. I have scheduled two really great dishes for you this week! The Tortellini Artichoke Pesto Salad was a huge hit, with lots of flavors, colors, and textures. Also up is a delicious Lemon Butter Chicken dish that was so easy to make and even easier to eat!
Hope you all have a very good weekend!
