❔ FAQs
French bread or an Italian loaf are classic options for garlic bread, but this recipe can be made with just about any kind of bread or rolls you have that you want to use up.
For this recipe, using too much (or not enough) butter can alter the final result, and not baking hot enough could also make the bread turn out more chewy instead of light and crispy.
Not quite. Garlic powder is made from dried garlic that's ground into a fine powder. The benefits of garlic powder include a longer shelf life and a milder but more concentrated flavor. Fresh garlic can be burnt in the process of cooking, but it's much harder to burn garlic powder.

📝 Substitutions and Variations
- If you want a little bit of a spicy kick, add some red pepper flakes, cayenne pepper, or chili powder.
- You can use fresh minced garlic instead of garlic powder if you prefer.
- Shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese can be used instead of or alongside the Parmesan.

Garlic bread is a big hit at our home. We often use real garlic - raw. Sometimes that's a bit much for the kiddos so this may be a more tame idea. Although sometimes the "green pieces" aren't appreciated either. Thanks for sharing!

Totally agree! Real garlic is always best, but sometimes I just don't have the time (or energy). This works in a pinch! And totally agree about the 'green pieces' too! Kids! LOL 🙂
