Instructions
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
¼ cup butter
Add garlic and shallots, and sauté for about 5 minutes or until soft.

Add shrimp and cook over medium heat until shrimp turns pink, about 4 minutes.
¾ pound medium shrimp, cleaned and tail-off
Add chicken broth, lemon juice, and red pepper. Simmer for about 2 minutes.

2 tablespoons lemon juice,
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
Serve over cooked linguine, sprinkled with chopped parsley (if desired).

Notes
Frozen shrimp works great in this recipe - no need to thaw.
Fresh lemon juice is best, but I won't lie, I mostly use bottled because it's convenient to keep on hand.
If you want to use wine in this recipe, swap it in for the chicken broth, using the same amount.
To use jarred minced garlic, use 2 tablespoons.
