Beyond easy to make, this Baked Brie with Honey is a restaurant-quality appetizer that can be prepped in minutes and will earn you so many compliments!
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Place the Brie wheel on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or in a Brie baker if you have one.
8 ounces Brie cheese
Using a small knife, make small slits on the top of the Brie. Insert the garlic slices into the slits, distributing them evenly across the cheese.
3-4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
Drizzle the honey and olive oil over the top of the Brie, allowing it to seep into the slits and around the cheese.
2 tablespoons honey, 1 tablespoon olive oil
If desired, place a few fresh thyme sprigs on top of the Brie to add an aromatic touch.
Fresh thyme sprigs
Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the Brie is soft and gooey in the center.
Once baked, carefully remove the Brie from the oven and allow it to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Keep an eye on the Brie as it bakes to ensure it doesn't melt completely and lose its shape.
To save streamline prep, slice the garlic cloves slices ahead of time and store them in an airtight container in the fridge.
If desired, you can use pre-sliced Brie for easier serving after baking. You will need to decrease the baking time a bit.
If you don't have fresh thyme, sprinkle a pinch of dried thyme instead.
In a pinch, you can microwave the Brie for 1-2 minutes instead of baking. Use a microwave-safe dish and monitor carefully to avoid over-melting.
Add crushed pecans, walnuts, or almonds on top with the honey for extra crunch and flavor.
Include dried cranberries, figs, or apricot slices around the Brie before baking.
For a bit of heat, infuse the honey with chili or red pepper flakes before drizzling over the Brie.
