Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F. Combine the garlic salt, pepper, and paprika in a small bowl.
1 teaspoon garlic salt, 1 ½ teaspoons pepper, 1 ½ teaspoons paprika
Optional step: If desired, brush the pork chops with a little of the olive oil.
4 center-cut bone-in pork chops, olive oil
Rub the spice mixture on the tops of the pork chops.
Flip them over and rub the spice mixture on the other side.
Cook in the air fryer about 12-15 minutes, flipping after about 8 minutes, until done.
Notes
To prepare ahead of time, mix the spice rub in advance and store it in an airtight container.
Try to choose pork chops of similar thickness (about 1–1.5 inches) to ensure even cooking.
Let the pork chops sit at room temperature for 15–20 minutes before cooking for more even results.
If preferred, you can swap the garlic salt for onion powder or dried herbs like rosemary or thyme, or use Cajun seasoning, lemon pepper, or a BBQ rub.
If you prefer breaded pork chops, instead of using the spice mix, coat them lightly with flour, dip in beaten egg, and dredge in seasoned breadcrumbs and then cook.
To reheat leftovers, preheat the air fryer or the oven to 325 degrees F. Cook in the air fryer 5-7 minutes or the oven 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway through. To reheat in the microwave, cover with a damp paper towel and cook in 30-60 second intervals (flipping between intervals) until hot enough.
