Line a 9x13 baking sheet with parchment paper and line the pretzels up on the pan, in one layer, leaving just a bit of room in between them.
60 pretzel snaps
Put one candy melt on each pretzel until all the pretzels are full.
20 white candy melts, 20 blue candy melts, 20 red candy melts
Bake for 5 minutes or until the candy melts are soft. Place an M&M on top of each candy melt and gently push until the candy slightly sinks into the chocolate. Be sure to alternate colors and avoid using the same color M&M with the same color candy melt.
60 red, white, and blue M&Ms
Once you’ve placed all the M&Ms, allow the pretzel bites to rest for 30 minutes or until set.
Notes
Prep Tips:
The candy melts may not look melted after baking, but they should feel soft when lightly touched.
If the candy melts crack when pressing in the M&Ms, they likely need another minute in the oven or the candy melts may be older.
Candy melt sizes can vary slightly by brand, but they should still fit nicely on pretzel snaps.
Variations:
Swap the red, white, and blue candies for other color combinations to match different holidays or events.
You can use peanut butter M&Ms or mini candies if preferred.
Drizzle with melted white chocolate after setting for an extra decorative touch.
Serving Suggestions:
Add to dessert trays, snack boards, or treat bags.
Great for kids to help assemble since the decorating is simple and fun.
Storage:
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
Do not refrigerate or freeze, since moisture can affect the texture of the pretzels and candy coating.
