- black pepper - to taste.
- bread crumbs - I like to use Panko bread crumbs to give my cheesy pork chops a super crispy breading.

🔪 Instructions

❔ FAQs
Brining in milk naturally tenderizes your pork chops, as the milk helps to expand the proteins. This makes them more receptive to added flavors and prevents drying out. These cheesy pork chops aren't brined in milk, but there is milk in the pre-breading coating that helps with tenderizing.
A few general tips are to let the pork chops sit on the counter before cooking, and also let them rest after cooking. Be sure you don't cook them for too long either; they'll continue to cook through as they rest.
If you find that your crust isn't crispy enough for your liking, you can brown quickly in olive oil over medium high heat on the stove. You'll want to add the chops to a particularly hot pan to brown the outside without drying out the inside. Using Panko bread crumbs is another good way to ensure a crispy and satisfying crust.
💭 Expert Tips and Tricks
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure your pork chops reach an internal temperature of at least 145 degrees F.
- Pork chops may cook at different rates depending on how thick they are. Be sure to check them to ensure they don't overcook and dry out.
- I recommend looking for bone-in pork chops, as they tend to be more juicy and flavorful. Boneless works fine if it's all you can find.
- Center-cut pork chops are a good option if you're trying to ensure a super even cook.
- Allow the pork chops time to rest after cooking so the juices can distribute and tenderize the meat. Cover loosely with aluminum foil to prevent further drying out.
- Pat pork chops dry with a paper towel before dipping them in the egg and the blue cheese mixture.
📌 Make these blue cheese pork chops as a fun twist on the classic protein! They emerge from the oven with a golden brown crust and pair well with a wide variety of sides.
💡 Substitutions and Variations
- If you can't find blue cheese or aren't a huge fan, you can also use ranch dressing mix for this pork chop recipe.
- For additional flavor, add seasonings like garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, or salt.
- Add Parmesan cheese to make Parmesan crusted pork chops.
- Can't find Panko bread crumbs? Use any regular bread crumbs, or crush up some crackers, tortilla chips, corn flakes, or use dry stuffing mix.
- Add a spritz of cooking spray to the crust if you want an extra crispy finish.
- Garnish with fresh parsley, chopped green onion, or Parmesan cheese. You could also add a drizzle of balsamic vinegar or melt butter and spoon it over top.

🥫 Storage and Reheating
To store leftover pork chops, allow them to cool and place in an airtight container or a zip top bag. They should last 4 to 5 days in the fridge, and up to 6 months in the fridge.
When it comes time to reheat, pop them back in the oven at 350 until the crust is crispy and the pork chops are heated through. You could also do this in an air fryer.
To reheat from frozen, allow the pork chops to thaw completely in the fridge.

- 1.25 ounces blue cheese dip and dressing mix (1 packet)
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoon parsley flakes (optional)
- 3 or 4 bone-in pork chops (trimmed)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (220 degrees C).
- Mix together the egg and milk in one bowl.1 egg, 2 tablespoon milk
- Combine the blue cheese mix, pepper, breadcrumbs, and parsley flakes in a separate bowl.1 cup Panko breadcrumbs, 1.25 ounces blue cheese dip and dressing mix, ½ teaspoon black pepper, 2 tablespoon parsley flakes
- Dip each pork chop in the egg mixture, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture and place in a baking pan.3 or 4 bone-in pork chops
- Bake for 10 minutes, then turn the pork chops over and bake for a further 10 minutes, until the pork chops are done and the juices run clear.
Notes
- Can't find blue cheese dip and dressing mix? Use the same amount of ranch dressing mix instead!
- Bone-in pork chops are the best, as they tend to be juicier and more flavorful. Center-cut chops are a good choice for even cooking. However if all you have is boneless pork chops, they will work too.
- The exact cooking time and temperature may vary depending on the thickness of your pork chops, so use a meat thermometer to ensure they are cooked to perfection. The pork chops should reach the recommended internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Be careful not to overcook your pork chops, as they can quickly become dry.
- After baking, allow the pork chops to rest for a few minutes under a tented piece of aluminum foil. This helps redistribute the juices throughout the meat and keeps it moist.
