It also features savory, smoky bacon and baby spinach for a nice dose of nutrition as well. This seafood pizza is super easy to put together, so you can spend less time in the kitchen and more time enjoying with your loved ones!

🧂 Ingredients Needed
- pizza shell - a pre-made pizza shell is a great shortcut for this seafood pizza, but you can use pizza dough as well.
- Alfredo sauce - instead of red sauce, this pizza has a creamy and delicious Alfredo base.
- shredded mozzarella - for a bubbly and melty layer of cheesy goodness!
- fresh baby spinach - adds some green color and a bit of nutrition.
- cooked bacon - you could also use bacon bits, but I like to bake some bacon (turkey bacon works great) and crumble it up.
- imitation crab - feel free to use real lump crab meat, but imitation crab is much more affordable and still plenty tasty!
- cream cheese - provides a slight tang that complements the crab and bacon.
- scallions - as a finishing garnish.
🔪 Instructions
Add Cheese
Place the pizza shell on a baking sheet or pizza stone, then add Alfredo sauce and top with half of the mozzarella.
Add Toppings
Over the cheese, add pieces of spinach and bacon.
Finish Assembly
Add pieces of imitation crab and finish with the rest of the mozzarella.
Distribute Cream Cheese
Dollop the cream cheese onto the pizza.
Bake Crab Pizza
Bake for 10 to 15 minutes at 400 degrees F, then top with chopped scallions and serve.
This seafood pizza can be made with real crab if you like, but I like to use imitation crab! It's not quite as expensive and still tastes great with the other toppings.
❔ FAQs
If you're using something that's uncooked, you should cook it before adding it to the pizza. Imitation crab is pre-cooked, so it can be added right to the pizza before baking.
This American-Chinese appetizer is typically made with a crispy wonton wrapper filled with crab, scallions, cream cheese, and a variety of other flavorings.
A fancier way of referring to seafood pizza is to use the Italian name: "pizza ai frutti di mare." This kind of pizza is sometimes served without cheese and uses either red sauce or Alfredo sauce, and can have crab, shrimp, mussels, scallops, squid, and other types of seafood!
📝 Expert Tips and Tricks
- This crab pizza can also be made with pizza dough instead of a pizza shell. Bake it for 20 minutes instead of 10-15.
- I love to use whipped cream cheese for this recipe since it's lighter and easier to scoop.
- Allow your crab pizza to cool slightly before cutting it to prevent the cheese from sliding off.
This crab rangoon pizza combines delicious and tender imitation crab with bacon and spinach for a family friendly dinner that everyone will love!
⚙️ Substitutions and Variations
- Doctor up the Alfredo sauce with some minced garlic or herbs like oregano or basil. You could also use some Homemade Italian Seasoning!
- Other good toppings for this crab pizza include sliced cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, or red onions.
- Top with a dusting of Parmesan cheese, a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, or some chopped parsley.
- For more seafood pizza toppings, add ingredients like cooked shrimp, scallops, or lobster.
🥡 Storage and Reheating
Store crab pizza in the fridge for 3 to 4 days wrapped well in aluminum foil or plastic wrap, or in a large plastic bag. You can also freeze your pizza for several months and allow it to thaw in the fridge before reheating.
Reheat crab pizza in the oven or air fryer at 350 degrees F for best results. You can microwave it if you need it to be hot quickly, but it may get soggy or mushy that way.
⏳ Make Ahead Instructions
Make your own frozen dinner by assembling this crab pizza, then freezing it for up to 3 months or so. Be sure to store it properly to prevent freezer burn. You can bake it right from frozen, though it will take a longer time so be sure to adjust.
🍴 What To Serve With This Dish

Pair your crab pizza with this Spinach and Fettuccine side, a Chickpea Pasta Salad, or Avocado Mango Salad. For more veggies, serve Air Fryer Corn Ribs or Air Fryer Broccoli.

Creamy Crab Pizza With Bacon and Spinach
Ingredients
- 14 ounce pizza shell
- ⅓ cup Alfredo sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- handful fresh baby spinach, roughly chopped
- 4 slices cooked bacon, roughly chopped
- 1 cup imitation crab, roughly chopped
- ½ cup whipped cream cheese
- ¼ cup chopped scallions optional
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees Celsius).
- Place the pizza shell on a pizza baking sheet or pizza stone.14 ounce pizza shell
- Spoon the sauce over the shell and distribute evenly.⅓ cup Alfredo sauce
- Distribute about half of the mozzarella, then add the spinach and bacon.1 cup shredded mozzarella
- Distribute the crab and then the remaining mozzarella.handful fresh baby spinach, roughly chopped, 4 slices cooked bacon, roughly chopped, 1 cup imitation crab, roughly chopped
- Place dollops of cream cheese on top.½ cup whipped cream cheese
- Bake for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Top with chopped scallions before serving.¼ cup chopped scallions
Notes
- To make this with uncooked pizza dough, roll out your dough to about 16 inches in diameter. Follow the same steps as with the pizza shell, however adjust the baking temperature to 400 degrees and the baking time to 20 minutes.
- Whipped cream cheese works well because it is soft and easy to scoop when placing dollops on the pizza. You can use regular cream cheese instead, but you may want to first let it sit out at room temperature to soften, or use the microwave to warm it a bit before putting it on the pizza.
- If desired, you can enhance the flavor of the Alfredo sauce by adding minced garlic and/or pinch of dried Italian herbs (such as basil and oregano).Stir these into the sauce before spreading it on the pizza crust.
- If you want to add more flavor and texture, consider adding sliced cherry tomatoes, red onion slices, or sliced mushrooms to the pizza before baking.
- Once the pizza is out of the oven, let it cool slightly before slicing. You can garnish it with fresh chopped parsley, a drizzle of olive oil, or a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese for extra flavor.
