How fun is this? I love these little apple pie-like snacks that you can make in 2 minutes! They are so cute and delicious, and they are a blast to eat. Have you been trying to get your kids to choose fruit instead of chips or cookies? Here is the perfect solution!
And the kids aren't the only ones who love these. I make them for myself when I am in the mood for a little something to eat, but a plain apple just won't cut it.
These are the perfect after school snack, especially during the cold winter months. Warm and sweet, with lots of cinnamon flavor and crushed graham crackers for some added crunch, these are satisfying and a great alternative to those empty carbs my kids might otherwise gravitate towards. (Need more snack ideas? Check out these 30+ after school snacks!)
You can substitute Splenda or other sweetener if you wish, and you can adjust the amounts of apple pie spice and sugar to taste. If you don't have apple pie spice on hand, just use cinnamon, your apple pie crunch will still be delicious!

📋 Recipe Card
2 Minute Apple Pie Crunch
Ingredients
- 1 apple
- ½ teaspoon apple pie spice (you can substitute cinnamon if you don't have this handy)
- 1 teaspoon sugar (or ½ packet Splenda)
- 1 graham cracker sheet
Instructions
- Core and cut the apple into small bite-sized pieces. (I used a wedger and then cut each wedge into 5 or 6 pieces.) Place the apple pieces in a bowl.1 apple
- Sprinkle the apple pie spice and sugar on top, and toss to coat. Transfer the pieces to a microwaveable mug.½ teaspoon apple pie spice, 1 teaspoon sugar
- Microwave 20-30 seconds at a time, stirring in between, until the apple pieces are softened and hot.
- Crumble the graham cracker and sprinkle on top.1 graham cracker sheet
Notes
- Use a crisp apple variety like granny smith for a tart flavor or honeycrisp for a sweeter profile. No need to peel it!
- If you’re short on time or to make it easier for your kids to make this themselves, buy pre-sliced apples.
- If desired, use cinnamon graham crackers.
- Add chopped nuts (such as pecans or walnuts) to the top for extra crunch and flavor.
- Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of Greek yogurt for a more indulgent treat.
- Drizzle caramel sauce over the apple mixture before or after microwaving.
- Swap out the graham cracker with granola or crumbled shortbread cookies for a different crunch.
- Serve with a sprinkle of powdered sugar, whipped cream, or a few dried cranberries for added texture and flavor.

Hi Michelle, by my calculations, it is around 100 calories if you use sugar, not Splenda. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
